You all know my thoughts on smoking marijuana from a tobacco pipe, but I’ve wanted to talk a bit about misconceptions with tobacco pipes. Mainly glass and wooden. A sherlock is any glass pipe with a considerable bend. A sherlock is not a style of tobacco pipe. Now this was a fairly tame post, but I’d also like to touch on the topic of “stoner culture.” This post didn’t include the term stoner, but it may as well have. People seem to have the idea that stoner is an acceptable classification. That it just means one who is deep within the marijuana culture. This is not so. A stoner is a pejorative. Those who use the term stoner as a identifying trait are those who are proud of their use of marijuana. There is nothing to be proud of. It’s a drug. You are using a drug. A stoner is to marijuana as an alcoholic is to alcohol. A stoner is someone who is smoking so heavily, they no longer function optimally. Though that is too forgiven. They no longer function as a person with standards. A stoner is lazy, dirty and is pretty much only good for getting smoked up by. A crackhead would not proudly boast that he is a crackhead (though, that may not be true if someone offered him crack to say that). One who indulges in any type of drug should have some sense of shame involved. Shame may not be the right term… modesty may be a better one. Those who drink all of the time, brag about how much they drink and how drunk they get are annoying and obnoxious. How is this any different from you, 16 year-old-self-proclaimed-stoner? Have fun. Enjoy your pot. Have a sense of fucking decency. Thank you for your time.
