Q:i tend to store my pipes with the bowls and stems seperated. is this a bad thing long/short term? i always wait until long after the bowl has cooled, its just more space effective to store in pieces
I don’t believe this is much of an issue so long as you allow the bowl to cool, as you do. The only thing I could see being a problem is the added stress on the tenon. I assume you’re careful with your pipes, so I don’t think you’ll be reducing the longevity of the pipes much at all.
